Using an RV Digital Thermostat for Easy Climate Control
Dave SolbergDescription
The RV digital thermostat has a day and time mode that allows you to set temperatures for weekdays and weekends as well as different times throughout each set of days. The weekday settings are for Monday through Friday and are divided into four different time zones. However, the RV digital thermostat will allow you to adjust the time zones based on when you will be in the RV.
The weekend settings on a RV digital thermostat are good if you plan to go sightseeing and will be away from the RV on the weekends. This way, the heat and/or air conditioner will turn on just before you are planning on returning to the RV.
Once done setting the RV digital thermostat, go back through all of the settings and time zones to ensure it was programmed the way you want it to be.
The best thing about using a programmable thermostat in your RV is that you can program it for whatever you desire and your climate control needs. When shopping for a new programmable thermostat, look for one that will allow you to adjust the different time zones and temperatures throughout the week. This will give you the most control over your RV’s climate without having to worry about turning it on and off while on vacation.
