Description

In this free video lesson Dave Solberg teaches you about getting portable power anywhere you need it for your RV with a great product called CarGenerator. The CarGenerator is great for boondocking as well as home use in the event of an emergency.

If you want to recharge a battery while you’re out boondocking but you don’t want to bring a portable generator, the CarGenertor is ideal. According to Dave, some places such as California are outlawing portable generators because of the damaging exhaust they put off. The CarGenerator is lightweight in comparison, it’s weatherproof and relatively quiet, and it offers a simple power solution no matter your situation.

Dave demonstrates how to use the generator’s alligator clips, which function like standard jumper cables. A strap allows you to hook the unit onto your vehicle and crack the hood. Simply plug in whatever you want to power, and you’re good to go!

So I came across this product recently called car generator, which can give you portable power just about anywhere you want to be. If you're out boon docking, if you're even at home, in the case of emergency, this is 1000 watt of power, 120 watt power, you can go up to 3000. So if I want to recharge a battery out boon docking and I don't want to take a portable generator with me. Some places like California are starting to look at legislation to outlaw portable generators because of the exhaust. This is a portable generator. That's all in one unit. It has this strap here. And what we're going to do is we are going to pull these alligator clips out. We're going to hook them up to the battery. We're just going to hang this from here and it has a portable little strap in the back that allow me to. There we go, just hang that down there. I can bring this down. So I don't have the noise. Now we're just going to plug this in. We have ports underneath it. I just want to show that because very similar to what you would see in a inverter. There we go plug that in and I'm gonna plug this in. Now, I'm gonna go start my car. So we still got the car running very quiet compared to those portable generators. We see we have no voltage yet on this because there is an on off switch in here. So we're going to go underneath, just hit the button and we see 122 volts. Now, this is going to give us with 1000 watt. It will give us about 7 to 8 amps, which means we can charge a battery and a trailer. If we don't use anything else, we can't run a rough air conditioner. We have to go up to the 2000 or 3000 to do some of that stuff. But it's designed for portable power. If you have power that goes out at your home, you can even plug your furnace into this. So it's portable power. It's very quiet. You know, your truck can run for almost a day on a fuel tank of fuel. So it's a great product. It's called the car generator.
